Salary, Taxes and Insurance in Japan
This course is for candidates preparing to work in Japan and for workers who have just started. You will learn to read a Japanese payslip line by line, understand overtime pay and common allowances, and see why income tax and resident tax are deducted at different times. You will also learn how year-end adjustment works, what health insurance, employees' pension and employment insurance cover, and the basics of the pension lump-sum withdrawal. The last lesson covers safe remittance, budgeting and what to do when a payslip looks wrong.
